Over de functie

Are you an experienced Marketing specialist, preferably with experience in animal health or nutrition industry? In this interim position you can contribute to the global market-share, sales and profitability of the global species portfolio in the short and long-term by leading and supporting cross-functional innovation teams in which specie specialists, R&D, country operations and support functions participate.

The Marketing Specialist will be delivering innovation by working closely with the R&D department and local market experts to develop and launch new products and services via global market-leading brand campaigns.

  • Coordinating R&D projects as the business lead and overseeing innovation project management using the Stagegate innovation process
  • Working closely with the R&D and specie teams to develop innovative market strategies, create and implement global product/brand campaigns and communications
  • Responsible for collecting feedback/input from local companies and R&D for the global innovation development
  • Understand, anticipate and explore market trends, expressed and unexpressed customers/farmers’ unmet needs and take full advantage of them for the global ruminant portfolio
  • Establishing key relationships in the global functions and with local market managers, delivering marketing expertise and technical excellence where required globally
  • Involved in price positioning decisions of new and existing products in the portfolio in conjunction with the pricing team
  • Provide relevant input for strategic portfolio discussions & meetings
  • Monitor sales and market share developments in the key sales areas and regularly report these to the species director, other team members and key local market managers
  • Follow up of the implementation of Global Marketing campaigns within local markets
  • Manage effective and timely communication of knowledge and research using modern communication channels and market influencers
  • Establish and maintain close contact with people, both inside and outside the company relevant to the position
  • Within the approved budget, follow up expenses and assist monitoring promotional budget

 Start: 1 November, period: of 6 months 

Functie eisen

  • Marketing degree preferably and/or a BS degree
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the animal health/nutrition industry preferably in marketing or 8 years’ experience in marketing
  • Minimum of 2 years product/brand management experience with an proven track record
  • Excellent communication skills and team working abilities
  • Creativeness, strategic orientation and good analytical and operational skills.
  • Language: Business English to a high level Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Demonstrated team leadership experience especially with cross functional teams
  • Sales and marketing of products and services
  • Business to business (b2b) and direct to consumer marketing (b2c) within the agriculture industry
  • International experience specifically working with global brands
  • Developing, forecasting and launching new products.
  • Understanding and experience of working with R&D people and within innovation project development
